Writer and director - Ranjan Ghosh, is a critically acclaimed name celebrating Bengali cinema across the country. He made his directorial debut with Hrid
Majharey (2014) - A one-of-its-kind Bengali movie drawing inspiration from the works of William Shakespeare.
The film made history by being the first ever Bengali movie to have been shot on an Indian archipelago of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Even though Ghosh's journey commenced as a script assistant for a National Award-winning movie titled Anhaheen (2009) - his following movie Rongberonger Korhi (2018) (post his debut film) celebrated a filmmaker's idea of 'Freedom of Expression' as it highlighted the then scenario of demonetisation in India.
Ghosh's recent film - Ahaa Re (2019), is a soulful melange of authentic Bengali cuisine savoured with specs of romance between a chef and home-chef.
