Federation SquareThe undulating surface of the The Square is made up of sandstone cobblestones, with a marked access path. Swanston Street offers the best access to The Square and lift access is available from The Atrium. The Big Screen is equipped with a hearing loop and there are accessible toilets located next to Time Out Café. The Main Stage has lift access for performers. St Paul’s Court, Swanston Street Forecourt and The Amphitheatre also provide wheelchair access.

- Wheelchair and sight impaired tickets are available on the Ground Level and level 1 for all events. A lift will be operational allowing patrons to purchase accessible seating on Level 1.

Disabled Car Parking
There are a limited number of disabled parking places in front of the Palais Theatre in Lower Esplanade and to the side of the theatre in Cavell Street. Cars displaying a Category 1 disabled parking permit (blue permit) are exempt from paying parking fees in any of the Council parking areas around the theatre. If you are being dropped off at the theatre, Palais Theatre staff are happy to assist with disabled passengers alighting from vehicles at the theatre entrance.
