A revered scholar's mission to revive Brajaawalee, a nearly extinct classical Assamese language, takes on new meaning when his long-absent son returns and reveals his same-sex orientation. Sanjib Sabhapandit began his career as an actor, playing the title role in Kukhkhal, directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Jahnu Barua. As a writer-director, he has made six feature films, earning two Indian National Film Awards for Best Film and four selections at the Indian Panorama. His body of work also includes around 20 short films, approximately 150 episodes of travel documentaries, and 10 documentary films, reflecting a diverse and accomplished career in cinema and non-fiction storytelling.
