Director: Mohammad Touqir Islam

Mohammad Touqir Islam is an emerging Bangladeshi filmmaker whose passion for cinema began at an early age. After making his debut short film in the 8th grade, he studied at the Asian School of Media Studies in India and established himself as a promising voice in Bangladesh’s film industry. Through his company, Footprint Film Production, he has directed 8 short films, 2 web series, and several documentaries and commercial projects. He has served as a Jury Member at multiple editions of the International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh. His recent work includes Shaaticup, Sinpaat, and the government-supported children’s film Odd-Voot. Through Delupi, he explores political upheaval, social unrest, and personal sacrifice, reflecting his commitment to bold, human-centered storytelling with universal appeal.
