Anmol Sidhu is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his contributions to Punjabi cinema. His debut feature, Jaggi, received critical acclaim and won the Uma de Cunha Award for Best Debut and the Audience Choice Award at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in 2022. It was also named Best Indie Film at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, where Sidhu was nominated for Best Director. The film earned nominations at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and IFFK. Born in Kauloke village, Punjab, and growing up in this serene rural setting, Sidhu developed his passion for storytelling and theatre while studying at a local government school.
