Beneath the serene surface of a Kerala village, twelve-year-old Kannan gathers his friends to show off the hut he built alone with enormous, solitary effort. He assigns the roles - a family, a fish-seller, and a postman - taking the part of father for himself. What begins as imaginative play turns disturbing with each new move Kannan dictates; the game unfolds as a twisted mirror, reflecting the latent gender hierarchies of their world.
