Director: Amreen Kullar

Amreen Kullar is a second-generation South Asian filmmaker born in Brampton whose work explores catharsis, community, and the connection between personal experiences and the wider world. After studying Media Production at Toronto Metropolitan University and working in commercial filmmaking, they embraced independent and DIY practices. Specialising in cinematography and editing, they have worked on numerous award-recognized short films. Their recent Indigenous romantic comedy Bimaadizi (Along in Space and Time) premiered at imagineNATIVE. I See Myself in You marks their return to directing. They also help lead the Unsung Voices youth filmmaking program while continuing to explore analogue filmmaking practices.
