Opening Night

Due to the Victorian lockdown announced on August 5, we are rescheduling our In-Cinema opening night gala to a later date.

The safety of our film lovers, supporters and team is most important to us and we are working towards the in-cinema season that will be announced as soon as possible.

Celebrating diversity through cinema, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021 is delighted to premiere two thought-provoking films 'Bittu' by Karishma Dube and 'WOMB-Women of My Billion' by Ajitesh Sharma as a part of its In Cinema Opening Night Gala.

At its heart, the film is about a fierce sense of loyalty and friendship held by a young girl who is punished for her individuality and somehow saved by it.
