Acclaimed directors Paul Cox and Kabir Khan were the judges for this year's internationally contested Western Union Short Film Competition. They awarded Nilesh Desai as India's winner with Sati, Sean McCart as Australia's winner for Give Sheep A Chance and Dimi Nakov as New Zealand's winner for Lockie N Love. The judges presented the winners with their prizes at a special awards night at Hoyts Melbourne Central.
This year's theme was ' Freedom ' and entries poured in from the three countries, earning the talented winners awards, flights, screenings and seats at the Press Conference alongside Indian film royalty.
