Federation Square

The undulating surface of the The Square is made up of sandstone cobblestones, with a marked access path. Swanston Street offers the best access to The Square and lift access is available from The Atrium. The Big Screen is equipped with a hearing loop and there are accessible toilets located next to Time Out Café. The Main Stage has lift access for performers. St Paul’s Court, Swanston Street Forecourt and The Amphitheatre also provide wheelchair access.

Deakin Edge

Deakin Edge has lift access and is wheelchair accessible. Arrangements can also be made to enter from the Fed Square Car Park. Accessible toilets can be found in The Atrium, which is located next to the Deakin Edge. The lower stage in the Deakin Edge has lift access but the greenroom does not.

Palais Theater

Palais Theatre, Next to Luna Park, Cnr Lower Esplanade and Cavell Street, St Kilda, VIC 3182

  1. Wheelchair and sight impaired tickets are available on the Ground Level and level 1 for all events. A lift will be operational allowing patrons to purchase accessible seating on Level 1.
Further Details - The stairs in the Level 1 auditorium are quite steep.

Please be aware that almost all parking in St Kilda, including on-street, is paid parking. So please check for signage and bring your credit card or change.
Disabled Car Parking
There are a limited number of disabled parking places in front of the Palais Theatre in Lower Esplanade and to the side of the theatre in Cavell Street. Cars displaying a Category 1 disabled parking permit (blue permit) are exempt from paying parking fees in any of the Council parking areas around the theatre. If you are being dropped off at the theatre, Palais Theatre staff are happy to assist with disabled passengers alighting from vehicles at the theatre entrance.

All Hoyts cinemas have disabled access and lifts.

The library entrance has tactile indicators and is on ground level.
There is lift access to all levels.
