Directed by Toronto-based filmmaker Deepa Mehta, Anatomy of Violence is based on the 2012 Delhi gang rape incident on a moving bus. The film is a fictional dramatization of the lives of the rapists. It explores the root causes leading up to the incident, including the rigidity of India's caste system, poverty and social values that breed and support misogyny.
