MAMI
After 12 year old Raju jumps on a train to run away from home he falls under the control of a gang. Along with fellow recruit Jollu, he stalks the station, dreaming of a better life, naive to the danger he’s in. Filmmaker Prithvi Konanur, drawing on real accounts of exploitation faced by children every day, used a cast of mostly non-actors including schoolboy Manohara K. who won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.
If you want to help the children on the streets of Australia or on the streets of India, who are hungry, in danger and in need of assistance, please donate generously to SAVE THE CHILDREN.
