Richa Chadha is an Indian actress known for her plethora of versatile roles. She marked her debut in a supporting role in Dibaker Banerjee’s critically acclaimed 2008 film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! Since then, she has been featured in numerous celebrated Bollywood movies such as Fukrey, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Panga, Gangs of Wasseypur. Gangs of Wasseypur was premiered at the 65th Cannes Film Festival.
In 2015, Richa Chadha made her debut in a leading role with Masaan (Fly Away Solo). Masaan was also screened at the 68th Cannes Film Festival and won in the Un Certain Regard section. Her portrayal of a small-town girl stifled by the social stigma of pre-marital sex garnered several accolades. Earlier this year, she starred in a leading role in Madam Chief Minister, a powerful political drama charting the life of a powerful Dalit leader.
In 2021, Richa Chadha launched her own production company, Pushing Buttons Studios, with Ali Fazal. The company’s first venture, Girls Will Be Girls is a mother-daughter story set in a small Himalayan town, written and directed by Shuchi Talati. The movie has been selected for numerous prestigious script labs around the world.

His movie I Am bagged a National Award for being the Best Hindi Feature Film in 2011. As a filmmaker Onir has received numerous awards and counting, his movies are being screened across the globe at multiple film festivals.
One of the highlights and notable achievements has been the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Award for Raising the Bar - a documentary on Down syndrome.
Onir is currently working on developing a sequel to I Am, titled We Are, that explores four LGBTQ themed stories from different corners of the South Asian subcontinent.
