A controversial political drama, Buddha in a Traffic Jam follows Vikram, a happy-go-lucky student who becomes embroiled in a plot with repercussions for his life, and for the fate of the whole country. Vikram’s success in facilitating an internet campaign makes him a wanted man, and he accidentally becomes embroiled in a battle between the socialist and capitalist factions in India. Considering personal and national repercussions, Buddha in a Traffic Jam is a pertinent film that contemplates the need for political change in modern-day India.
DIRECTOR
With a background in advtertising, Vivek Agnihotri made his Bollywood debut with Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets (2005).
