In a very special event, IFFM celebrated Indian Independence Day at Federation Square: which was packed with families, the tricolour flag, and a burbling sense of anticipation and excitement.

‘Mr India’ himself, Mr Anil Kapoor, was the very special guest of the day: and he hoisted the Indian flag in the midst of a dense crowd, Rose petals tumbled out of the furled flag, and, in a magical moment, the entire square joined in with a passionate rendition of the Indian national anthem: JAI HIND!
