Moor
Urdu, Pashto
Pakistan’s submission for Best Foreign-Language Film for the 2015 Academy Awards is a beautifully-lensed contemporary slice of Pakistani life. Set against the closing of the railways in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, the film follows a station master who must confront the corruption inherent in society around him. Starring Hameed Sheikh and Samiya Mumtaz, Moor is a compelling social drama with resonating themes of family and loyalty.
