Message from the Premier of Victoria

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2019 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

This Festival has become the southern hemisphere's largest annual celebration of Indian cinema, showcasing the breadth and depth of Indian film with productions from across the entire region.

And with an icon of Indian film, Shah Rukh Khan, as chief guest, this year's Festival promises to be as outstanding as ever.

Our Government is proud to support films from across all of India - not only through our support for this Festival, but also through our new Indian Cinema and Bollywood Attraction Fund.

As the first of its kind, this dedicated fund will continue to strengthen the connection between our two regions, all the while creating new Victorian jobs.

It's just another way we're backing our state's proud multiculturalism, and the proud contributions of our Indian communities.
