Filmmaker Kabir Khan has always traversed two worlds - one where he has explored delicate political subtexts with much ease in movies like Kabul Express (2006) and New York (2009), and another where he has delivered some of mainstream Bollywood's record-breaking box office hits such as Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015). His most recent film 83 (2021) followed the journey of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev and the Indian National team to win the 1983 World Cup. The film, which celebrates one of India's most historic achievements, is nominated for multiple Awards at IFFM 2022.
