My Melbourne

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has teamed up with four iconic Indian filmmakers, Rima Das, Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan and Onir, to create four short films on our core values of Diversity and Inclusivity. We are delighted and thrilled to have secured four of India’s most diverse voices of independent cinema for this project.

Under the motto of "a film with you, about you and for you", we are aiming to create a series of truly authentic short films made by our community.

We have received a overwhelming number of applications and over the part few months the teams have been working on scripts for the final films.

Each short film will centre around one of these four themes: Sexuality, Gender, Disability and Race. An anthology of four stories showcasing contemporary diverse Melbourne life , made right here in Melbourne with local cast and crew helmed by four of the worlds most respected film makers.
