Kanu Behl, an alumnus of the Satyajit Ray Film and TV Institute, graduated with a degree in filmmaking. His journey began with the documentary "An Actor Prepares" (2006), which competed at Cinéma du Réel in Paris. He went on to produce and direct three more documentaries, earning recognition internationally.
Behl stepped into feature films as Dibakar Banerjee's assistant director for "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" (2007) and co-wrote "LSD: Love Sex and Dhokha" (2010), receiving critical acclaim. His directorial debut, "Titli" (2014), was selected at Festival de Cannes, further solidifying his prowess in exploring raw human emotions. With "Agra," his second feature film, to be screened at IFFM 2023, Kanu Behl continues to challenge norms, establishing himself as a visionary filmmaker in Indian cinema.
