Short Film Competition presented by Western Union |
Like no other competition of its kind, the Western Union Short Film Competition returns for its fourth year seeking out fresh, filmmaking talent from Australia, India and New Zealand.
The theme this year is 'FREEDOM'. What does Freedom mean to you, tell us in 10 minutes or less. Download the registration form and get busy.
Guidelines:
- To be eligible for the Western Union Short Film Competitions all shorts must be 10 minutes or less in length.
- We prefer films to have been completed within 2 years of our closing date.
- All films should be in English or have English subtitles.
- As this is a competition we do prefer that films that haven't been previously broadcast.

A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Raju segued into commercials before making it huge in movies as the director of three of India's most beloved films. 'Munna Bhai MBBS' is considered a classic, 'Lage Raho Munnabahi' is credited with re-popularizing Gandhism in India while '3 Idiots' became the highest grossing Hindi film in history. A hugely significant popular filmmaker, he has earned a reputation for comedies that explore strongly humanist themes with realistic characters that don't sell the audience short. |

Currently presenting Channel Ten's Before The Game and Triple M's Breakfast Show, Mick is one of Australia's best-known broadcasters. |

He started out with directing shows on television and moved on to bigger things on big screen. Writer/director Kunal Kohli introduced Indian music videos to narrative, has directed three films for Yash Chopra, picked up awards for Fanaa and created his own production company. We're showing his new feature; epic time-hopping romance Teri Meri Kahaani, starring the impossibly good-looking Shahid Kapoor, and Priyanka Chopra. |
