and our city has a
great appreciation for India’s
film history, including Bollywood productions
filmed in Australia.
The colour and vivacity of
Indian films provides an enchanting window on
this fascinating nation for people all over the

The City of Melbourne has been actively
strengthening cultural and business ties with
India, and we welcome the opportunity to learn more about a rich culture.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne brings emerging and established
filmmakers to the screen, including a short film competition to encourage
young entrants. On behalf of the City of Melbourne, I wish you every
