National Award-winning director Shoojit Sircar is a visionary filmmaker, director and producer. Known for his unconventional, taboo-breaking films, he has many critically and commercially successful works under his belt that span a variety of genres, themes and social subjects explored through unique, fresh storytelling that the Indian industry hadn't experienced before. Some of his groundbreaking films that launched several prominent Indian actors to acclaim include Yahaan (2005), Vicky Donor (2012), Madras Cafe (2013), Piku (2015), Pink (2016), October (2018), Gulaabo Sitaabo (2020) and Sardaar Udham (2021). We are excited to welcome him to our film festival this year. He will be leading panel discussions and we are beyond eager to learn a lot from him!
