It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2020 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

For the past decade, the festival has been exclusive to Melbourne, but this year’s online program will allow people across the country to get involved, and the short film program is accessible worldwide.

Film has always allowed us to cross borders and experience cultures, perspectives and ideas well beyond our reach and IFFM curates an exciting journey for us.

This year’s program will connect us with the breadth and depth of Indian cinema – all from the comfort of home.

We may be staying apart for now, but that doesn’t mean we are disconnected. So, as you settle in to watch a film this year, take a moment to think of the many other audience members watching and experiencing this festival with you.
