Rani Mukerji is one of India’s most prolific, successful and acclaimed actresses who has ruled the silver screen for close to three decades. At the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023, Mukerji won the Best Actress Award for her performance in "Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway" (2023). Her portrayal of an Indian mother fighting for the custody of her children against a foreign government was lauded for its intensity and emotional depth.
