Sayani Gupta is an Indian actor, producer, writer, and first-time director. An FTII alumna, she has built a 14-year career through bold and unconventional roles across films, theatre, and streaming platforms. Honoured by Harvard University SAA as South Asian “Person of the Year,” she gained international recognition with Margarita with a Straw, Parched, and The Hungry, all premiering at TIFF. Her work spans major global festivals and Emmy-nominated series including Four More Shots Please and Inside Edge. Her debut short film, Aasmani, which she wrote, directed, and produced, is screening at IFFM 2026.
