Ambica Setia is a storyteller and dreamer at heart, guided by the belief that “storytelling is about connecting with others and helping people see what you see.”
With over 15 years of experience in filmmaking, she has worked across Production, Script Development, Costumes, and Direction shaping compelling narratives across formats and Genres.
Her diverse filmography spans acclaimed and award-winning films such as Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, The Lunchbox, Chakde India, Shaitan, Bombay Rose, and international projects including Trishna,/i> and Kavi, the latter a recipient of the Student Academy Award.
Over time, Ambica transitioned full-time into Production and Script Development, working on an extensive range of feature films, commercials, documentaries, and branded content.
As a freelance writer, she has created campaigns for brands like Okaya, Amron, Tata Tea, Zeebu, Arogya, Investza Wealth Tracker, and Mother Dairy, while also developing screen content including Abdication (starring Radhika Apte) and Viacom’s Fully Faltoo channel.
She has produced shorts and the Epic Channel series Jaane Pehchaane, while supervising features such as The Hungry, Kaalakaandi, and Mirzya. As an Associate/Supervising Producer, she has delivered end-to-end solutions for brands like Flipkart and Viacom, as well as for international docuseries such as Maitanaam and Captain Fantastic for FIFA+, and fictional shows like The Woke This Week.
Ambica has brought her integrated creative and production expertise to both ongoing and in-house projects at companies including Rainshine, Cinestaan, Eunoia, and Animation Bugs Studio.
