With two full houses at Xtreamscreen Cinemas, Hoyts District Docklands, and over 800 attendees, we celebrated the world premiere of My Melbourne. Directors Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, and Rima Das, along with key cast and crew members, as well as local and international talents, joined the event. It was a night filled with great energy and pride, celebrating a film inspired by Melbourne and the authentic lived experiences within this city.
International Premiere at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 Gala Premieres

International Premiere at the 30th Kolkata International Film Festival

My Melbourne premiered internationally at the prestigious 30th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF). The film was screened at the historic and beautiful Nandan Film and Cultural Centre, specifically Nandan-I, which seats 960 people and was completely sold out.
Adding to the celebration, the My Melbourne film tram was running through the streets of Kolkata. Directors Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das joined audiences and media on a special tram ride, sharing stories from their filmmaking journey.

Many shared that it was their first time seeing Melbourne on the big screen—and that they fell in love with the city through the film.
